How Use The Map Below..

Using our Cavan Driving Test Route Map below is very simple, It looks a little complicated at first glance as it is very detailed ,so here are a few guidelines to make your navigation a little easier.

Both of the Driving Test Centres in Cavan town (RSA & SGS) are marked clearly by a blue Park Sign or "P". The Blue line indicates every possible place the Driving Tester will bring you from the Esker Lodge (Cathederal Rd) building.
The Red line clearly marks the Test Routes taken by the SGS (Nct building, Dublin rd) Driving Examiners.
When you follow the line appropriate to the Test centre allocated to you its very easy to see where all the specific manouvers are carried out using the coloured "Pins" and "Placemarks" by double clicking on them. The Yellow Pins indicate all the places used to do the "Turnabout" (3pt turn) manouver, The Red Pins for "Hillstarts" and the Green Pins for the Reverse around the kerb.
Using the Zoom function on the top left hand side of our map gives the information in much more detail, & by clicking on any of the coloured pins or placemarks you can read any additional & important information about the particular area in question.
If you have any problems using the map just give us an email or ring 0876383195 and we will be glad to help.

The Driving Test In Cavan

The Driving Test in Cavan is conducted out of two Test Centers, the (Rsa) original centre is a blue prefabricted buildinglocated in Esker Lodge shown above , and the other is located within the National Car Testing (Nct) centre on the Dublin road just behind Mc Donalds. (SGS)

There are no specific "Driving Test Routes" for the Cavan Test centres. What is shown above is all the possible places the Driving Test Examiners use to conduct the various aspects of your Test. Using the pins and place marks above you can see where all the specific manouvers like the "hill start" and "reverse" are performed. The Examiners normally stick to the same places in this respect but , they can use any combination of places and go to anywhere in townland of Cavan they wish.
