- Our penalty points sytem is very strict as regards you may find the laws differ very much from your home country, which you can view with a link from our home page
- We now have the highest accident-death rate per head of population
in Europe..something we are certainly not proud of.

want to equip you with the skills you need to keep you and other road
users safe, this should always be your first priority while driving in any country.

How To.. And Where to get your Irish Learners Permit..
How can we Help??
- Get the official Driver Theory Test book or CD-ROM
You can borrow one from the Erne School of Motoring or get one from a local libary and most good bookshops
- You need to pass the Theory Test which is the basic rules
of Irish roads, in Cavan the test is held in an office behind the Hotel Kilmore on the Dublin road.
- When you have passed the test, you need an eyesight test
(and medical report if necessary) Any doctor or optician can
do the eyesight test.
- Get your Learners Permit form (Green Form D.201) from
any Garda Station or Motor Taxation office.
- Complete the form with 2 passport sized photographs and send
it to your local Motor Taxation office.
